Devotional
To honor, means to have respect for our parents. This command is from God, even though at times our parents may treat us wrongly, we are to still obey God and honor our parents. Regardless of how we are treated by our parents, we are commanded to respect our parents with our words, thoughts and actions. Some situations may make this very difficult to do. If for any reason at all you feel you are being abused by a parent or not treated properly, please seek to talk to a youth leader or pastor about the situation, or someone else in authority, an elder family member, or teacher.
