Spending extra time in prayer can really help us to know what Gods will is for our day (having the mind of Christ). Jesus did only what he saw his father doing, I believe that Jesus was directed by God during his prayer times. The bible says that Jesus often withdrew for prayer. Also, we should read the bible to have our minds become more like Christ.
