Isa 53:4-5
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Devotion
Jesus Christ experienced every pain humanly possible during the suffering he endured on the way to the cross and while on the cross. He was taking upon himself all of our infirmities so that we could be free from them and by his wounds be healed. You will find many accounts in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John where Jesus healed people. The bible says that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is still the healer!
