A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Devotion
Love is patient and kind. Have you ever tried to be gentle with your words to people who are not being so loving or patient toward you? This can be very difficult at times. I have learned to recognize when I am getting upset or angry because of what someone is saying to me or about me. When I recognize these negative emotions starting, I am able to turn off my tongue and think about having a right response. It takes two to argue, that’s basically what our scripture is saying. If one person chooses to be gentle when another is being harsh, there is no argument. If someone is treating you in an unkind way often, please talk to an adult you can trust with your feelings about the situation. We are to be gentle with others. but at the same time we must learn how to not allow someone to continually be unkind to us.
