Psalms 42 :5

Why are you so downcast ( sad ) O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God.

Devotional

This passage has helped me to take a look at the things which I find myself either concerned , worried or sad about. I found myself wondering why I allow these feelings to direct my thoughts. This scripture has given me faith to put my hope in God. As I put my hope in God I find that the concern, worry and sadness goes away. My soul is not so sad now! That’s the power of God’s word. It is able to turn us away from harmful thoughts and direct us towards a big God who can do anything.

Thank you God for giving us your word that renews our minds and gives us hope through the difficult times.
