Filled
John 16:12
I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now.
Devotion
There is a place in the realm of the Spirit where the Lord begins to speak clearly and with great revelation. If you have ever had those times when you have been reading your bible and the Holy Spirit, the teacher, is speaking loudly, then you understand our Scripture. The pen in your hand moves faster than ever before as the thoughts concerning the ways of God come clearer than ever before. In an instant, God gives an understanding of His kingdom and an awareness of His presence that is almost more than we can bear. With this type of encounter with the Lord the understanding of what God is communicating is spread out over a great length of time, with little gold nuggets of revelation. We are compelled to go deeper into the Word of God. Our scripture indicates that Jesus has many things to say to us. Open your heart to receive all that God has today and expect great revelation from Him!
Guard your heart
Prov 23: 20-23
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flows the springs of life.
Devotion
We must maintain good spiritual health. When our heart is in distress, and we are up set, we must do all that we know to do to guard our heart. For God has deposited spiritual truths in our hearts for the purpose of sharing with others. Yes through you God can bring an encouraging word to someone. Start with prayer this gives God the right to help us. The bible says let not your heart be troubled but put your trust in God. Focus on Jesus rather than the troubling situation, as best as we can, this helps guard our heart. He has said He will never leave or forsake us. Communication comes next because wisdom, at times, is found in the council of others. It is good to reason things out sometimes, being careful to not gossip or criticize. Keep a guard on your heart today and protect the call God has placed on your life.
Gods love
Rom8: 38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Devotion
God loves you so much that He has promised that nothing can ever separate you from His love. Receive his love today!
Grace
1Cor. 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Devotion
Grace is God’s ability given to us and placed upon us. You are saved by grace, which means that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation; it is a gift from God. It is what God has done for you. I have also seen that the disciples prayed that God’s grace would be given to one another often. The bible says there is a gift of grace, just like there is a gift of faith, leadership, encouragement and others. When we depend on God totally for His ability( grace) to work through us, then we look to his ability working through us, and we no longer have to consider only our own ability but that God is working through us. That is where the power to overcome difficulties and also to minister to others is found. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Hurt
Matthew 6:14-15
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Peter 2:23
They hurled their insults at him (Jesus), he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
Devotion
It has been my experience that when I have been rejected from someone whom I really desired to be accepted and loved by, my response is to lash out in anger towards them. Life is just full of different situations where people are not nice to us. God’s instructions for us are really clear. We are to be like Jesus and not fight. We also are to forgive them for the way they have treated us. If we walk closely with God, the fruits of the Holy Spirit will help us. A few of them are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control. It takes two to argue, the best choice you can make is to remove yourself from the other if a hurtful situation begins. Then talk to a friend you can trust about your frustrations as soon as possible.
Leaders
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Devotion
To be a great leader we must be passionate followers of Christ. See if you can discover what you will be doing today in the above scripture, if you follow Christ.
If someone leads By Jordy Christo
If someone leads, I assure that others will follow
Do it today and don't wait for tomorrow.
Could our actions today, change someone’s destiny,
What if we offered more to a stranger, than just time on our knees.
We must tell them, is what I am hearing,
We must tell them that the end is nearing.
We must tell them that they are lost with out Jesus,
We must tell them that it is His blood that frees us.
Yes, if someone will lead, some Christians will follow,
We will see multitudes come to Christ, today and tomorrow.
If someone leads
Vision
James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Devotion
If a vision for the Lords kingdom is not becoming reality then that vision is dead. Consider taking a step today towards putting into action something that God has entrusted you with. One small step each day becomes much work accomplished over time. Spend time in prayer. Often times, this is where God directs and gives grace to accomplish great things in His name. Jesus chose His disciples after praying all night.
Fruit
Matt 7:16,17 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Devotion
Have you ever picked fruit, apples, oranges, or grapes? I saw something different tonight that I've not seen in this passage before. We are trees of fruit for people to pick. The more fruit, the more bountiful the feast that others will enjoy, when in our presence. We are trees filled with love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, and self control. Spend some extra time in prayer and check your fruit tree today.
